Kellie Cannon

About Kellie
Kellie Cannon is a poet, educator, mother, and wife living south of Boston in Easton, MA. She attended Franklin Pierce for her BA and double majored in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Dance, and English with a concentration in Creative Writing, and she received her MFA in Creative Writing with at Concentration in Poetry at Emerson College. She spent almost a decade teaching in North Carolina while her husband was in the military. Much of her time was spent teaching and living in Jacksonville, NC. Her family moved back to New England in 2016 to be closer to family, which is when she started teaching in the Writing Program at Curry College. Her teaching, writing, and research interests include family relationships, mental health, learning differences, book bans, and family literacy. When she is not writing or teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, gardening, attending concerts (especially Brandi Carlile), traveling, attending New England Revolution games, and cooking.
